The reason why I drove 80 miles to that place was because I didn't want to tip at all. That's what I do when I go out to eat, I never eat anywhere except fast food more than twice a year because I don't tip.

I love imagining the waiters and waitresses fuming after I leave and taking pictures of a receipt with my order on it to post on Reddit talking about how much of an asshole I am an how they deserve free money for doing the job they're already getting paid for.

See I hate the tipping system you have over there, but in these cases it'is hardly the server's fault.
Most sane people would assome you gave them the extra bills for the tip. The waitress in OP even asked if that was the fucking tip, without assuming anything.

tl,dr: tipping is stupid but these customers are more stupid.

Anyway, can you repeat me again what's wrong in paying the server a proper wage instead of having him begging for the generosity of the clients? And don't give me that shit about rewarding good servers: a good server is just doing his job right.
