Herbs aren't hard to grow. Some of them will literally grow like weeds with minimal effort. Any amateur can stick some herbs in the ground or in some pots and water/fertilize them and they'll be just fine.
It's not some kind of magical craft that takes decades to master as you seem to be implying.
