My dad isn't much of a drinker, he may have a glass of wine or a bourbon and water occasionally. BUT, my uncle, (his brother) is my drinking buddy. Every family reunion or wedding, etc, my uncle says "HEY, you'll drink with me! And it inevitably ends up with me eating the worm at the bottom of a mezcal bottle. I shared a few good beers with my dad. I'd pick up a bomber of something special for holidays/special occasions. He liked the good stuff but was always fine with the cheap stuff too.

I'm being reminded of him finding me in the kitchen wasted drunk and crying on my birthday while all my friends were downstairs. He calmed me down and we shared a beer and I vented.
