Austrians cant write "Jäger" = "Hunter", so they wrote "jager" instead. but yes, it has the same kind of connotation. you drink it with hot tea though. it says: "mix 1 part of jagertee with 3 parts hot tea or water"

like jägermeister it contains lots of weird herbs and tastes like cough candy http://www.schwarze-schlichte.de/en/markenwelten/produkte/likoere/hartls_jagertee.html

All out of Jura so I'm drinking glorious airport duty free Jim Beam.

Need more bourbons tbh.

I have got some free homemade muscat wine from my old boss. Taste super sweet and white grape juice tasting, maybe sort of floral, though that is owed more to the super perfumey sweetness than actual complexity. Pretty tasty though, no idea what the apv is.

I've been there, friend. The sun shone for one day a week, then back to complete darkness for another 6 days. For months on end. The darkest time of my life. Sober for the entire time, at that. Didn't even have anything to numb the pain with.
You'll pull through. And you'll look back on it fondly.

Finishing off my bottle of Elijah Craig tonight, it is pretty good. It taste like "bourbon", even more tan something like Wild Turkey 101 which I used to think was the mist stereo-typically "bourbon" bourbon I have tasted. Not that this is a bad thing, I enjoyed it a lot.

>>6191405
I don't like Buffalo Trace, pretty much everybody else does. To me it tasted overwhelmingly of butterscotch. It was smooth though, no burn just butterscotch. I loved Eagle Rare, though.

>> No.6191604

>>6191561
Eagle rare was fucking dope. I feel you on the Elijah Craig tasting like "bourbon". Warms you the fuck up on a winter day too.

Ever try Knob Creek or Four Roses? Just got a bottle of Larceny, it's even more "bourbony" than Elijah Craig 12

I haven't had any of those, though they are all high on my list, my friend who I drink and discuss bourbon with are going to save Four Roses for a sunny day, most people seem to say it is a sort of floral summer-y bourbon. I may grab Knob Creek next, though, either that or Bulleit Rye, I liked their bourbon a lot. In regards to Larceny, when it came out, I remember a lot of people talking about it, looking at it now, though, the reception seems to be mixed.

Honestly, I didn't even know they made it, I thought they just had the 12 and the 23. My price range for bourbon caps off at about $45 a bottle, so I don't know if I could even buy it anyway.

>> No.6191730

>>6191685
it's really floral. i think about it in terms of your larceny, elijah craig, etc being "manly" and the four roses being a bit more feminine, light, floral.

never seen a bourbon that smells better than four roses.

knob creek is good, yeah. nice and peppery. another masculine bourbon imo

larceny is great, just like EC, it's a very strong bourbony bourbon.

if you wanna lower the price a bit, old granddad 50 aint bad at all for what it costs.

>> No.6191826

>>6191715
I'm sure it depends on your area, but I paid under $45 for the barrel proof.

The hard part is finding it. This bourbon craze makes it hard to find it.
