Is this stuff the pinnacle of hotsauces?

This sauce can give most casual dishes like mashed potatoes, pizza or pasta just that little more edge to make it special.

Anyhoo, what are your favourite sauces?

I use Tapatio for eggs and Sriracha for everything else.

generic buffalo sauce for wings/chicken
Valentina if I want a milder sauce
Tapatio if I want it pretty hot
Some ghost pepper blended sauce if I want it really hot
Tabasco for oysters, clams and pizza

>Is this stuff the pinnacle of hotsauces?
No, but it is a damn fine sauce

>This sauce can give most casual dishes like mashed potatoes, pizza or pasta just that little more edge to make it special.
A lot of other sauces do that too

>Anyhoo, what are your favourite sauces?
(I like all varieties made by each brand)
El Yucateco
Louisiana
Frank's
Dave's
Blair's
Melinda's
Tapatio
Valentina
Cholula
For Asian sauces and pastes I just grab whatever is available at the Asian market at the time.
.....and a bunch of other "extreme" sauces and extracts.

Whole chili pods, super hot or otherwise, are nice to have on hand too.

You seem to be knowledgeable about hotsauces, know any site which ships them to europe which doesn't charge 63 bucks?

Valentina black label and Tabasco for everything non-mexican.

Am I the only one that can't stand the Mexican style hot sauces? It's something about the chili that makes it weird to me. Ground Mexican chile is very distinctive profile and I hate that taste. It's very different from cayenne. I suppose the way they smoked it.

Because Mexicans are such special snowflakes and need special sauce? GTFO!

>> No.6179473

I don't know what "Mexican style" means. Peppers are native to the Americas, Mexicans have no lock on hot sauce. The one thing that I've noticed from sauces from Mexico is this, shit ingredients and fillers.

Maybe that defines "Mexican style?"

not even close to the pinnacle. its revolting if it hasn't been cooked off. don't try to tell me the best hot sauce in the world is inedible out of the jar! i won't even start about it not being as hot as a fresh jalapeño. shit is weak man. real weak.

>> No.6179732

>>6179473
No I mean the chiles used have a different taste. It is perhaps the way the peppers are smoked or aged that give Mexican hot sauces a different taste. Have you even tried them? Its not like Franks or Louisiana.

Nope, it has this weird chemical taste. Original Franks with some butter is much better.
