water isn't "refreshing" its just hydrating.

sugar and flavor needed for "refreshing"

if this was a hydration index, water would be first

I disagree with your list, I like a sweet drink just fine but some of the things you listed are just like sugar syrup and I don't think they are refreshing at all

I also don't understand why beer is ranked so low, as it's one of the most refreshing drinks out there. Other than water and gatorade, beer is the most refreshing thing on your list.

by definition, beer can't be "refreshing", its a depressant, it numbs your nervous system and dehydrates you.... unless you could the first few sips, which yes, I agree, can be quick a "refreshing" experience.

>and dehydrates you
so does all of your overly sugary drinks

for the sake of this conversation lets just say I'm talking about non alcoholic beer, because we aren't talking about the effects of the drug we are talking about things that taste refreshing

How can you consider all this dry-mouth fuel "refreshing?"

>water in tenth place
>beer second from last
>mfw

So refreshing absolutely has to mean stimulant-filled? I'd use stimulating for that, since a lot of people would consider freezing, ice cold water or lager to count as refreshing as well.

Seem to be a lot of children ITT. Once you grow up you'll get the hang of refreshing drinks - they contain neither sugar nor alcohol.

coke> ... > water

Cola is purely a taste sensation with some caffeine. I always drink water to freshen up after cola.
