Hey there /ck/
I'm making pineapple wine and I'd like to ask you what are the gasses that are released during the first stage?
For the past 24h it's been bubbling almost constantly, and out of curiosity i'd want to know what it is actually releasing.

I keep it in my room since it's the warmest one in the house, and it just smells pretty bad.
That's why I wanted to know what is in it.

So, you're making a wine, and you don't even understand what fermentation is? Are you seriously this dumb? Did you do any kind of research before you tried to make this wine?? What did you put in there? Is there an airlock? Do you know the specific gravity? Do you even know what that is?

This is a joke, right? How the fuck can you make wine without knowing alcoholic fermentation?

i made a really nice post and it all god deleted

i am sadface

anyway nice quints op, the gas is co2, and it should smell mostly sweet unless you've fucked the ferment with bacterial or fungal contamination

also there's likely traces of F O R M A L D E H Y D E

I guess it smells sweet, but it's pretty disgusting.
And to people asking, the wine is not exactly mine.
I'm just keeping it in my warm room.

It's most likely CO2 unless your brewing equipment was/got contaminated. You did sanitize everything and you're using a proper air lock and not just a balloon over the top of the bottle right?
