It's uber-finely ground coffee beans, thrown in a cevze (or ibrik, depending on where you're from) with some water, boiled then left to settle for a bit.

In Turkey, you can chew their coffee.

I like to prepare it Turkish style, by carefully tap-boiling to no more than three boils; then I strain it directly into a 100% recycled-paper filter placed into a potato-vise container over a bowl of tempered glass. The tempered glass is essential, as regular glass may shatter under expansion by heat, and a non-clear vessel doesn't allow for proper examination of the dark amber beauty of the coffee. I then let it drip manually, only interfering to squeeze out the last remaining teaspoons of fluid.

This method yields an authentic manual drip, rivaling in taste even the most prized machines. The best part is, it's easy to make, and besides the beans, the materials are cheap.

It will make coffee almost as strong as you want it, I find its a touch weaker than a well made moka pot. I really loved having it at work since electric coffee makers are not allowed at my work(fire hazard in hospital apparently) so it was great to keep in my locker

Very sweet to get the flavored coffees taste out, and if not flavored coffees I put flavored creamer with little sugar.

>> No.6148362

I've been using an Aeropress for almost two years now and love it. About a year ago, my roommate got an actual espresso machine (Krups Solo) and we all started using that instead. Well after a few cups, I switched back. Eventually they all stopped using the espresso machine and were all using my Aeropress instead.

I've been making mine with honey and whole milk for a nice boost before the gym. The sugar and fat give the caffeine something to burn off for energy and it tastes great. I use Lavazza super crema beans ground medium fine and can actually make out more flavors in the coffee than just the typical bitter coffee taste.
