don't understand those. who would splash tabasco all over a salad? how the heck would you use it in a roast? and what place could it possibly have in a savory gravy?

The salad I can see. Tabasco has a strong vinegary taste and and vinegar is a classic salad dressing.

Roast? Maybe if you were making a braise (pot roast) with a Cajun sort of flavor it could work. I often cook a pot roast with the Cajun trinity until it's fall-apart tender and then add that to red beans and rice, with tabasco added at the end. But in a traditional oven roast? No, I'm not seeing that.

Gravy? Hmm. The real issue is the heat, which I would find out of place in a gravy.

TABASCO IS THE BEST HOT SAUCE EVER

THEY FERMENT PEPPERS IN WHISKEY BARRELS JUST USING SALT

SRIRACHA BLENDS PEPPERS WITH OLD GARLIC AND SUGAR, THEN ADDS ARTIFICIAL THICKENERS AND PRESERVATIVES

i like it on beans/lentils with caramelized onion and sour cream

If "gravy" meant like a sawmill gravy then I could definitely see that. I've used Tabasco and other hot sauces on biscuits and gravy (or creamed chipped beef on toast) and it was awesome.

But gravy like what you use on beef or poultry? Nah.

I use Franks, but I put that shit on lasagna, spaghetti, eggs, chili, frozen pizza, chicken nuggets, beans it's good with anything

I plan on going to Avery Island, Louisiana where they make this stuff within two weeks. I survived off this stuff while in the Army, and I'm making a holy pilgrimage to the site where it comes from.

I plan on bringing a bunch of home made stuff for them, I hope they accept that kind of stuff.
