I'm not from the US, but when I visited NYC my first stop was Katz Deli and those sandwhiches were amazing. It looks chewy and slimy, but it is not. The fat is there, sure - but in a culinary sense its silky, melts in your mouth and gives the meat a delicious flavour. Its EXTREMELY tender. DELICIOUS!
