Soon I'll move into my new apartment. For the first time with a little balcony to the west. It has a 100x50 cm (40x20 inch) plant pot and I'd like to use it as little herb garden.

What are your suggestions on herbs that will work for me (central europe, balcony to the west).

For the time beeing I plan on basil, dill and chieves

You can grow cos lettuce in a pot and just keep picking the leaves off the outside of it and it will stay alive and keep growing for a few months.
