Eastern Bloc cold war era dinner of a working class citizen.

Chicken livers with onion, mashed potatoes with dill, salad with sour cream (+salt, sugar, pepper).

Nutritious, cheap, easy, fast to make and quite tasty, and the ingredients were easily available, no waiting in line for hours like with good beef.

I think it's csirkemáj tokány, literally "chicken liver stew,' though that's not quite right. Tokány is a specific regional stew, kinda similar to the more famous pörkölt except that paprika is swapped out for peppercorn.

If the lettuce is good quality and fresh (which tbh it doesn't look on the pic sadly) alongside some cold cream with a pinch of sugar it's god tier
