Why are Dominos subs so underrated? They're delicious, and only $5.99. Better than any other toasted subs from any other chain.

I didn't even know they had them. So that might be part of the problem.

My only concern is getting the same toppings they put on the pizza. It would be the exact opposite of Subway where they put their sub ingredients on their "pizza". Their "pizza" tastes just like their subs.

Doesn't this just end up tasting like one of their supreme pizzas?

Anyone who hasn't tried out the new dominos stuff should. I used to get tired of discussing restaurants because it would always end with "their shit was so good years ago but it slowly went downhill". This is one of the rare cases where it is somewhat the opposite. They had a solid hand tossed pizza in the 80's, then they phased in a very shitty replacement cheese, introduced a very bland provolone for their thin crust. The fuckin pre-made "pan pizza" crust was a goddamn abomination. Always late to innovate... They started carrying JTM steak sammiches years after pizza hut. Same with wings. Wings were a rare delivery item until the hut started carrying them around 1991. Dominos response? Let's wait a few years then add shitty baked wing thats are tossed in sauce after baking, and of course, the difference between hot/mild was just squirting more of the same sauce on. Specialty pizzas like Papas? Nah, never. Sicilian? Fuck no, just the ridiculous Dominator (hitting the market 3 years after Pizza Hut discontinued the Big Foot because dumb idea). Even silly shit like breadsticks (just cut up a plain crust, no special ingredients needed) came years late.

The new menu though, its like a completely different store now.

Domino's is kind of like the The Asylum* of pizzerias. They wait for whatever is popular to fade out, and then they make their own version to draw in people who still have the craving. This is in contrast to chains that release competing products at the same time. Sometimes The Asylum has released movies back to back with big studios, so the analogy isn't perfect.

I always thought it was a cool business model, but their food just sucked. I mean, imagine if they put it to good use and offered up a bunch of retro products like, as you mentioned, the Big Foot, Surge, Crystal Pepsi, whatever the fuck else I can't think of right now.

Well said. I do get a Domino's buffalo chicken sandwich on occasion, but I'm not going to pick Domino's when I'm in the mood for a sandwich. Even in sandwich form, it fills more of a pizza niche to me. It helps that the bread is crisp and greasy, like a pizza crust... probably from the same dough.

They're still tasty though, and a nice option when you're in the mood for something different. You can only order so many different pies from Domino's.

>> No.6085529

I don't think this thread is viral marketing, but I do believe it's existed on this board and 4chan in the past, primarily because I used to do it myself. (Not on this board.)

Anyways, the Dominos subs are alright, but have a tendency to be too greasy. Any veggies on there are basically just pizza toppings, and therefore don't seem as crisp or as fresh as something from another chain sub place.

Finally, I can't order one in for the minimum delivery price, eating two is abhorrent (not that I haven't done it), and there's no point in getting Dominos if it isn't delivery or picking up a pizza on the way home for multiple people. These things aren't exactly great reheated.

Still, 6/10, would eat with a coupon.

Word, blue cheese dressing is a whole different beast, but could be good. I just got irratated because I work in a deli that uses prepackaged blue cheese crumbles in our buffalo chicken sandwiches. I think the cheese tastes damn good for what its used for, and is imo a quality cheese for its application. I thought you were hating on prepackaged cheese in general, which would be stupid as a food service worker.

insider back here

had a woman ask for the two or more for $5.99 deal and thought she was getting 4 pizzas and parm bites for 5.99 total top kek. she returned the pizzas to us after eating two and proceeded to tell my manager what the deal really was, and then we kicked her out of the store.

Actually I am not the same person. Never had a job in food service. Never got call backs when I applied. I just assumed it was blue cheese dressing.

According to the site:
>Buffalo Chicken
>Grilled chicken breast, creamy blue cheese sauce, fresh onions, hot sauce, cheddar and provolone cheeses. On artisan bread and baked to a golden brown.

In conclusion it is a sauce. Don't know how that differs from a dressing but I am going to guess it is the same blue cheese dressing in cups they give you for wings.

> Blue cheese in this case is a dressing not just the cheese.

I like everything on their new menu except the weird novelty pizza sauces. They went wayyy overboard with the herbs and shit. Too overpowering.

> Blue cheese in this case is a dressing not just the cheese.

As for those little cups of dipping sauce, holy fuckin dogshit those are awful. Tiny portion, tastes weird. Tastes nothing like what the label says. If took the lables off the bleu and ranch, the only I'd be able to tell them apart is by which one made me gag the most. "Yip that must be the bleu cheese".

Doesn't really matter though, this dipping sauce market segment is for very young kids and big ol fat older kids that never grew out of it. Same people who enjoy taco bell nacho cheese. Its just a pity is all.
