What foods will help me get my body fat down?
What is your body fat number and what does your average meal look like?

>> No.6084204

OP you obviously know which foods are healthy and which aren't.

Just eat less for fucks sake.

I am curious about what others eat,
Carb heavy or protein heavy.
I have always advocating eating mostly meat and lots of green veg but I have stalled in my fat loss.
I am not over eating at all.

any you pleb calorie deficit + exercise, you could eat nothing but fucking cookies and still lose weight granted it would effect your health and you probably couldnt eat much to meet the deficit

>> No.6084223

For low body fat, go for chicken breast, fish, salads and green vegetables.

Avoid carbs, especially simple carbs, and lower the amount of fat you eat, but try and get red meat in your diet twice a week for hormone production.

No, you're eating at your maintenance level. That's why your weight loss stopped.

Eat less. Your weight loss will return.

OP doesn't want to lose weight, he wants to lower his body fat level.

Yes. That's why he said calorie deficit plus exercise.

The calorie deficit is responsible for the weight loss.
The exercise shifts the weight loss towards losing fat rather than losing muscle.

i cant remember my bfi number but im under 130lbs and 5"11
i eat meat, two veg and a complex carb for dinner, skip lunch unless i can get it free at work, breakfast is oatmeal + dried fruit and a live yoghurt

cut out snacks (or swap your normal snacks for raw veg, if you're not keen it'll put you off excess eating altogether) and only drink water if you wanna lose weight, dummy

Breakfast is quite easy, I have the same thing every day and don't get bored of it:
Oatmeal+frozen blueberries+greek yoghurt+ sliced banana+1 scoop of whey+ 1 spoon of peanut butter.

Put the peanut butter in the hot oatmeal first so it dissolved into it. Then mix the frozen berries+ yoghurt to cool it down. Then add your whey and mix in bananas.

I usually have this with 3 scrambled eggs bringing the whole thing to around 900-1000 calories.

It keeps me full enough that I skip lunch and for dinner I eat whatever the hell I want, as long as I keep under 2500 calories (I normally burn around 3000).
I lost 15 pounds (189 to 174) in 5 months by doing this routine. Biggest help was to stop eating sugar (soda was the worst) and shitty snacks. Good luck OP!

>> No.6084903

OP, keto is probably one of the best ways to burn fat. The only problem with keto is you cant eat too much carbs so if you can deal with that you can lose a lot of fat.

My bmi was 19.3 last time I checked. My average meal consists of eggs, bacon and almond milk for breakfast. Lunch is 2 pieces of chicken with a salad and dinner is usually something small like beef jerky because im not hungry.

As you can see my only carb intake came from the salad and the almond milk. Ive been doing keto for a few months and i've lost a good amount of fat.

>> No.6084994

>>6084903
keto is just another fad diet. Sure you'll lose the weight while eating delicious protein and fat, but you're not going to do this for the rest of your life (unless you want colon cancer). Like with all fad diets most people gain all the weight back and more after reverting back to their regular diet. Only do this if you are looking for a short term solution (hence why it's big in bodybuilding).

>> No.6085011

>>6084994
>most people gain all the weight back and more after reverting back to their regular diet

But that's true of ANY diet, whether it be a fad diet or not. No matter how you lost the weight it's going to come back if improper eating habits return. That's true of fad diets or simple calorie cutting.

>> No.6085122

>>6085011
>>6085011
The point with fad diets is that they are much more difficult to adhere to and maintain than simple calorie cutting. It's such a leap from the standard diet that people will quickly revert back to poor eating habits after completing the diet.
With calorie cutting you learn to incorporate healthy choices to your daily diet to meet your caloric deficit.

Wait, so you claim is that people can go on 5:2, lose weight, then go back to their old diet and they will not gain the weight back?

Please explain how the 5:2 diet magically alters a person so that the laws of physics no longer apply to them after the diet. How long do you have to be on 5:2 before this change happens?

If you never go off of 5:2 then clearly you're not reverting back to old eating habits.

What would happen if you stopped 5:2 and went back to your old ways? Would you then gain the weight back? Yes? Then you're fucking agreeing with me.

That is exactly the opposite of the truth. Outworking a bad diet is incredibly hard.

Sure, if you train like a cross country athlete, running intensely for several miles every day, you can eat a ton more than a sedentary person. However, the workout intensity that most adults will have the energy/motivation to maintain regularly won't be enough if you live off sugar and carbs.

building muscle mass does help keep weight down because it burns more calories at rest than fat does, and cardio makes you healthy in general, but diet is nearly everything for weight management.

calorie restriction will help you lose weight but if you want to lose bodyfat and not lean mass as well you're probably better going for a maintenance calorie level (adjusting every week for your new body weight). And exercising with some light jogging or running in the morning or whenever you've been fasting for over 8 hours will do wonders for shedding the fat without losing as much lean mass.

this is some bullshit right here. you spend an hour in the gym. i spend 10 hours working almost as hard as you do in the gym at my job

now I work somewhat less hard but just as long and eat whatever i feel like
