I was in NOLA and never before had an oyster. I asked a cab driver
how I should have my firest one and this is what he told me.
"Make sure they are really cold and put them on a cracker with cocktail sauce."
I had some at casamentos and I was hooked.
South Alabama or Florida panhandle for the best price. Don't eat west coast oysters - they suck.

I can dig the crackers & cocktail sauce approach most of the time, but if they're good, fresh, fat, and cold I just fork 'em and slurp. Raw oysters are some fuckin' food of the gods.
