You need to make a mold first. If you have some modeling clay you can do this.

Make a 6"x4"x2" shape with your clay.
Press a real Mcrib into it until the top plane of the meat is parallel to the top plane of the clay.
Take out the real McRib and put it back in the bun and eat it (can't let it go to waste :^) ).
Bake the mold in the oven on 400 for about an hour.
Next time you get some ground pork, use the mold to shape it into the beloved McRib we hold dear.
Cook that for a little while until golden brown.
Add some onions, pickles, bbw sauce and sandwich that beauty in between the loaf and there you have it.

You're deranged. One of the most heinous things I've ever eaten. I tried one around 1990 because McD's was giving away VHS copies of "Raider of the Lost Ark" with a McRib. It sucked. The sandwich, not the movie.

Then for some reason I tried one this year. Disgusting, spongy... even the sauce is bad. It's fucking VILE. Really awful.

According to this and the McD's website it's ground pork (boneless picnic), salt, sugar, and preservatives.

They cook the frozen patties on the griddle (with a press) and let it sit in hot bbq sauce.
