Duly noted, I just want some quality Indian food because there's none around here and I can't cook for shit ;_;

Yeah I have it all the time dude, it's pretty good my friends all think I'm weird for eating such exotic meals but they eat like ham sandwiches every fucking day so fuck them.

Is there any brand you prefer that might be more tasty/less "fakey"?

"Ethnic Gourmet" sounds hilarious for some reason.

There are so many different brands, and everyone likes different things, nobody could possibly answer your question.

I've tried some microwavable Indian meals, and I really liked them. I'm like you, love Inidan food, but no place around here has it.

I forget the brand, but next time I'm at the store I'll look. This thread will probably be gone though, since I don't think I'm going till Tuesday.

Most of the asian selection is pretty awful (especially the kung pao noodles), but the indian ones are surprisingly good. Would also recommend jaipur vegetables.

I don't understand Indian food at all. All the Indian food I've had tasted the same, and the texture was either dry, burnt, or a goopy sludge.

Why does the flavor of good vegetables have to be masked with so much spice and chilis? Why does the chicken have to be either soaked in chilis and then burnt to a crisp or drowned in a vat of foul smelling goo and cooked until all flavor other than the spices are gone?

My associates tell me Indian food is an acquired taste and if I keep eating it I will like it. Honestly, I'd rather go hungry than eat it.

india is a hot country full of poor people.
many people will tell you the heavily spiced food is intended to help you beat the heat

the truth is in a time and place with little sanitation and refrigeration, where people literally wipe their asses with their thumbs and scrape it off on the ground. The heavy uses of spices is there to help preserve foods, kill pathogens, and most importantly mask the taste of spoilage and feces

Because most people in india eat almost rotten foods and have to fix it with spice.

disliking indians was never a thought that crossed my mind until I started working in finances. they have the slipperiest most dishonest motherfuckers per capita compared to all other ethnic groups I have encountered.

The Indian frozen and shelf-stable dinners they sell at Trader Joe's are good as long as they don't have paneer in them (that doesn't seem to store well).

It'll be fine so long as you know it's shit tier. But even microwaved, something warm and vaguely indian inside you is good in the winter.
