It's been at least 15 years since I've had one. I used to love them as a kid. Probably my favorite thing from Mcdonalds, tied with taking a sip of milkshake with a mouth full of fries.

But unfortunately the last one I had was raw in the middle and I threw it out after one bite. I'd assumed they were precooked for some reason, but this one was actually pink and mushy inside.

I tried one for the first time a couple weeks ago. It tasted exactly how I thought it would. Okay, but nothing special. I don't understand the hype, but I also don't agree with the people saying it's disgusting.
I used to do the same thing with those Banquet meal ribs, only instead of pickles I'd have a bit of lettuce and loads of onion.

>> No.5980360

Zero. They are not in my area this year. I've grown out of that phase where mediocre food take on legendary status just because it's been so long since I ate one that when I finally do eat one, I'm shocked at how different it tasted, asked not in a good way.

Chili cheese burrito was like that. Found a place that has them while traveling, bought five and only after one. It was good, no doubt about it, but not worth going about feeling like there is an empty hole in muh soul.

It'd be smarter to buy the On-Cor BBQ ribs. Slightly higher quality, and then you'd only have the Ribs, not the stupid mashed potatos and shitty corn.

I forogt to check how expensive they are the last time I was at the store, thuogh. But I don't think it's MUCH more than $1. Could be wrong though.

Yeah, I don't know why people find it so hard to believe that there are people with taste and intelligence who don't eat fast food. Especially the McRib. Of all the heinous fast foods, that one is particularly on the repulsive side.
Mushroom soup sounds good, I haven't made any this fall yet, but I need to.
Today, I'm roasting some pumpkins and winter squash for use in soups, curries, etc. I'll probably make something with those for dinner tonight, but I'm not sure what yet. I have a really nice Thai style pumpkin soup recipe, but IDK if I want to make that today or not. I also have a tri tip in the fridge that I just rubbed down, that I plan on either smoking or grilling tomorrow.

Also, I hope you never eat a McRib either.

>Either you have taste, or you eat fast food.

No. I'm not talking about eating fast food three meals a day. I'm talking about occasional consumption of fast food either because it's the only choice, or because of some morbid self-destructive impulse (see: hangover food), or because you're in a hurry and you're bored of the other options that you get when you're in a hurry.

Sometimes eating a Chipotle burrito is a nice way to break up the monotony of the other ten places within a block of the office.

I am pretty sure I eat at better restaurants than you most of the time. That doesn't preclude me from eating fast food sometimes.

You must be that guy who completely lost his marbles when Borneo posted an instant ramen pack after her trip to that michelin starred restaurant. Welcome to the real world.

Sounds most tasty. I roasted some butternut squash and mashed it with cream and garlic, grated some mature cheddar on top and returned it to the oven for 10 mins. I put some toasted almonds on top. Very delicious with a good dash of salt and pepper.
