Fuck my ass, when did beer get so miserably pretentious?

>> No.5916733

I'd try the Rhubard Gose. Mainly because I've had similar styles/flavors of beers that are in all the others but I've never had a rhubarb beer before.

Where I come from, "growler" means "vagina" so I was simultaneously amused and aroused by your post.

That is all.

Why would you even ask.

Black chocolate stout is the obvious choice. Probably delicious and 10 ABV. Milk coffee stout sounds delicious too but you would have to drink a ton of that to get a buzz @ 4.2 ABV.

Actually, this is partially true, and I hadn't considered it before, but since the USA has started making some of the best beers, the pretentious level has gone through the roof.

I've been a beerbore for decades, and only in the last two or three years have I seen people starting to rave about hop varietals and terroir.

Beerfags used to laugh at winefags for being pretentious wankers, now if you order anything that's not a pint of wifebeater, you get lumped in with hipster faglords.

you ask, i tell dogfish ale.don't know about the "pumpkin" part.. seasonal dogfish is prreddy good. but 64 oz? growler? that woulcd hardly make it in the door. not encouraging drunkness, but you get 5-6 peoplr that's gone.and then drinking and driving. be careful. whenI was on flight status it(thye rule) was > 72 betwwen the bottle and thrtttle. aconfirned alki, son of an alki, military and ex leo. no sin in that. if i get on a plane, train, buss or ship it's ok te have a drink or 5. but the pilot, nav, or crew? never. and older usaf rotc nav topught me that. they don't call it souls aboard for nothing they are trusting you. When shit happens, and it will, it happens fast and requires all your wits.

What type of beer do you usually drink or gravitate towards? If you haven't had a saison I don't recommend getting an entire growler, they're very similar to a belgian beer. I'd say try the gose or I can't see the chocolate stout being bad either

I've gotten the dogfish punkin before, tried the stone coffee stout on thursday (loved it). I mostly drink stouts or ales. I've also had the weizenhammer and thought it tasted like farts. Not like the usual hefeweizens that I do like
