Does anybody else want to go on a Junk-free 2015 with me?

Starting from January the 1st, 2015, (today for me) you will be challenged to see how long you can go without JUNKFOOD and anything-but-water.

I am starting today, wish me luck.

We are all gonna make it

Seriously now. You shouldn't even feel bad about not eating junk. It's ok if you do once or twice in a month.

But you should absolutely not feel the lack of it. And not eating it bakes your life much healthier.

I don't feel bad. I have just found it difficult to eat in moderation so I have been trying to drop it all together. Silly I know, but it's worth trying.

Fair enough. Just keep on trying. The amount of shit the jews put on junk food is gigantic.

My next step is going full organic food. But I don't have the money for it.

They can cause elevated cholesterol/arterial plaque, increased cancer risk (dairy is especially bad for hormone-related cancers like prostate, testicular, and breast cancer), inflammation, oxidative stress, alzheimers and dementia, etc

Meanwhile the foods they tend to displace in the diet, like whole grains, beans, and fruits, have the opposite effects. For example, an anti-inflammatory compound in oats called avenanthramides decreases the susceptibility of LDL in your blood to oxidation (which would lead to plaque formation)

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15173412

While something like eggs, due to their high cholesterol content, will actually do the opposite, increasing oxidation and leading to increased plaque formation

I'm actually shipping out to US Army BCT January 14, 2015. 3x meals a day, and LOTS of water.

However, this past week I've been eating terribly (donuts, cookies, chips, like... 19 times a day). I'm going to do tomorrow with 3x meals a day and lots of water.

junkfood, good... but why only water?

you know you can add nutrition to water without using sugar and make a healthy beverage?

what makes beverages so different from food where you can flavor it or add anything without it becoming unhealthy?

i don't think anyone really traditionally drank water unless they didn't have beer, wine, tea, etc...
