What do you think of this burrito, /ck/?

I think it appears to have been dumped into a bowl of tomato soup for some inexplicable reason.

Looks like the kind of Mexican food you'd find in the US, but not in Mexico, except maybe in border towns. I'm not a fan of flour tortillas and shitty yellow grated cheese. This is the result of taking a vaguely Mexican concept and trying to make it into a cheeseburger. When I meet older people who claim they don't like Mexican food it's usually because their only exposure to it has been in the form of dishes like this.

Would not eat if other options were available to me. Looks like a gut bomb.

If you like the cheeseburgerization of Mexican food enjoy. If I want a cheese burger I'll just have a cheeseburger. If I'm in New Mexico I'll happily have green chilies on it. Otherwise I'd rather have Puebla style food. Fortunately where I live most of the Mexican joints are in that vein.

It looks ok. I would definitely stick my dick in it and rock back and forth until I came, then reheat it in a microwave and serve it to some shithead customer.

That is a new mexico style smothered burrito.
They have been making them here for at least 100 years.
If its not authentic enough then go screw.
We like quite a bit here.

Ehhhh, it's not rolled right. That's my biggest problem with that. Also, I'm not sure about the filling in there. Kinda looks like chorizo and egg, which I like, but it also looks like it could have rice in it, which I hate. Anyway, pic related is my kind of wet burrito.

I realize that. It's just that most of their tacos are on corn tortillas, which I prefer. And I'm just not a fan of burritos. If I want wheat flour involved I'll just have a torta.

>> No.5852228

I don't get why these places don't just put the sauce inside of the burrito.

In northern Mexico, a burrito is just a flour taco. no rice, no wet sauce, and maybe some beans. I don't understand why someone has to be so hesitant to like a burrito..Do you have some issues with authenticity ?

>> No.5852324

Not a fan of flour tortillas or northern Mexican food. If I'm going for beef, wheat and cheese I'll just have a fucking cheeseburger.
>issues with authenticity
Probably more like burnout. Over the last 20 years I've eaten a lifetime's worth of burritos, and they don't seem the least bit interesting anymore. They taste dull to me now, and I'm pretty sure the dullness comes from the wheat tortilla and the cheese.

Why is it that some people eat Burritos that are submerged in some sort of liquid sauce?

They're wet burritos. And no, you can't eat them in your car. I had a burrito that looked nearly exactly like >>5851986 just yesterday, it was delicious. And, I say you can't eat them in your car, but that's not really true. I've gotten wet burritos to go before, they just come in a deep to-go container and come with a knife and fork. So, I suppose you could eat it in car if you wanted to.
