Babysitting right now. Need to come up with a light meal of meat and two veg. No salt. Baby is my 97 year old grandfather, so no steak or shit. Need a healthy tasty alt or else its a turkey 'burger' and there is no fucking way I'm eating a goddamn turkey 'burger'. Pic related.

Help.

Mashed potatoes, green beans, and make a normal hamburger patty and put some gravy on that bitch

Sounds like old people food to me.

Meatloaf. I have a great recipe for one

3/4 lbs or 1 lbs ground beef
1 egg
1/2 panko bread crumbs
1/4 cup shredded swiss
1/4 cup crumbled bacon
2 tsp garlic powder
salt, pepper

Bake it until it's cooked. You can even shape it out into individual mini-meatloaf sizes.

serve with carrots and broccoli

No cheese, no salt. Sorry, I'll have save that for myself, but without the ketchup glaze you have nothing.

I'm making grandpa answer askreddit questions now. It is fucking hilarious.

Or blend a carrot and force feed him

Yeah, I expected that as well. It would be easiest to forget to brace him as he goes up the stairs. The old fuck is rather interesting though, so i figure he gets to live another day.

If you're talking meatloaf-type foodstuffs, I've done a beast of an Italian meatball a few times. It's essentially veal and pork mince, combined with egg, some onions, garlic, and grated courgette (which helps with texture). Parmigiano, fennel seeds, salt and pepper are the seasonings. Wants to be made into fist-sized balls, without compressing it too much as you're going for a light texture rather than a leaden one. That's some tasty shit right there.

Does he still have his wits about him? If so, you're lucky and can actually converse with him. My grandmother started to slide mentally a few years ago till it got so bad she wasn't making any sense when she spoke, and it was usually to herself.

>>5830489
He's there, but lost most short-term memory. Again, he was a very very smart man and it pains me to look into the mirror of what will be my eventual fate. I'd put a gun in my mouth if I actually started losing significant mental faculties.

THAT is supposed to be respect? You're a jumped up little shit, you should be so lucky that you get to live that long and experience so much, and have some shit licker of a grandkid take care of you. (Protip, you won't have that, think about that, asshole)

Okay, okay, as the insult-er in question, why not make a roast chicken, or roasted whole turkey breast (if you can get one), or turkey meatloaf. OR, meatballs made with ground chicken or turkey. As sides, you could make some butter roasted carrots and green beans, or steamed broccoli with butter sauce or roasted asparagus, or if you make meatballs, you could make rice to serve it on (rice is easily digestible).

>> No.5830556

>>5830544
I've decided. I'm going to use the ground turkey for meatballs (no red meat allowed) and he responded positively to the eggplant spaghetti idea. Steamed broccoli for a side is doable though. There is rice in the fridge, but... hmmm

Pics will be incoming.

Thanks. I know it's not much longer, so I been trying to get a semblance of his life but his memory is shot. So far I have the following:

Pre 1940's - living in New jersey - Ridge wood
won scholarship
Went to Lehigh and RPI rensselaer ploytechnic insititute
graduated in 1938
Took a starter job with bethlehem steel
Drafted into service
sent to england - birmingam
research labratory
best methods of invading france
met oppenhiemer 1942ish eistien 'very pleasent fellow'
war started
chairman said 'weapons deptot' needed blowing up
-not writing shit that may be actually classified to this day-

then he got tired and napped. I honestly had no idea the extent of his life. I'm kinda glad I got stuck watching him, actually.

That happened to my grandpa the other day. I had always known he fought in the Viet Nam war for the South Vietnamese, but he recently told me he was an officer. After that, he ran an anti-communist underground radio station. Someone found out that the government may have figured out who he was, so he managed to escape to America with our family (including me.)

It explains why he said he'd never go back there years back.
