Am I the only one on this stupid 5/2 diet?
The most popular diet on the planet and no one else here is doing it?
Made it through Thursday but got weak and sleepy late in the day. Came home and fell asleep only to spend half the night with insomnia .
So hungry all day but today no hunger at all.
Should I try to fast all day?
Mouth tastes like metal so I guess that's ketosis?

>> No.5761906

man up you fucking idiot i've been doing this since i was a teenager just out of lifestyle

Hungers like an erection, just ignore it and it goes away. I enjoy going a day without eating, less work

The good news is I have.already lost six pounds since Monday.
At this rate I will be datable in a month!

>> No.5761954

I'm just straight up fasting 1 day a week, it's much easier and straightforward.

Just go one week a month without eating. And eat only very little the rest of the month. It really isn't that difficult to not be disgusting.

if you arent getting headaches n shit i guess its fine. but you said you get real tired and it fucks your sleep schedule so thats not a plus.
>Mouth tastes like metal so I guess that's ketosis?
its ketosis if your only eating protons and fats and no refined sugars and have very low carbs(aside from fruit n veg)

i kinda do the 5/2 diet
on saturdays and sundays i dont eat as much usually

the amount of calories should vary from person to person for the 5 days and the 2 days though, unlike what they say on the website
>if it works for you thats cool but it just comes down to eating below your tdee with quality foods if you want to lose weight

Op here_ went ahead a skipped breakfast and then got hungry once it was too late.
Now I am about to have my monthly sex appointment and all I can think about is food :(

>> No.5762143

I've just been trying to eat healthier, and lower my portion sizes. Also because of my class schedule, I dont get to eat lunch regularly, so I usually have a breakfast of 2 poached eggs on one piece of rye toast, some cottage cheese and some coffee, skip lunch, and a decent sized dinner at like 5.

Calorie restriction isn't a good way to eat healthier; the less food you eat, the less nutrients you get. Eat the right foods and the weight will come off naturally, without leaving you malnurished

>so I usually have a breakfast of 2 poached eggs

Eggs are not a healthy food though, they're just highly marketed to make you think they are. Try some oatmeal in the morning, some sweet potatoes for lunch, and a bean dish for dinner

im not eating like 1000 calories a day, i eat stuff like chicken breast or fresh pork sausage with brussels sprouts, cottage cheese and baked beans for dinner. and i just like the taste of eggs, but im out until i got to the store next. i have oatmeal, just havnt felt like eating it too much lately.

Except in countries where people just plain eat to much. Portion control can do wonders.

I was thinking of starting it, I'm just worried I'd start flat out starving myself instead of just fasting 2 days a week though.
If you're really feeling hungry, I'd recommend orange juice. the sugar gives you a quick energy boost, and it's yummy.

I live in a country where less calories would be a good thing, but the problem with "portion control" is that it keeps the same unhealthy foods that made the person fat in the first place and then expects them to exert willpower that they usually don't have, for the rest of their life, in order to not relapse and overeat and gain the weight back. If you change the food, you don't need to count calories, you decrease your risk of many illnesses, and you stay thin for life with no effort

Same thing happened on Tuesday after fasting Monday.

>If we were to distill the Fast Diet into a single sound-bite, it would all come down to 5:2. That’s five days of normal eating, with little thought to calorie control and a slice of pie for pudding if that’s what you want. Then, on the other two days, you just eat a quarter of your recommended daily calorie quota.

>> No.5762671

Low carb diets work simply because there's fewer calories in immediate reach. Quit torturing yourself with this ketosis bullshit and just count calories while eating a balanced high carb diet.

The problem is that all week long all the meats and cheese and booze that you eat fills your liver with nutria .
This prevents fat burning .
It takes 12 hours to eat all the food in your liver then you van start to lose weight.
That's why thus diet works so well
