Farm Kitchen is a pretty good show, but he's got the same problem as the vast majority of British food personalities: they're horribly disingenuous. Think thirty food programmes on daily, yeah? And twenty-five of them are emulating Ina Garten's on-screen personality and demeanor.
That's British food television. This is why people like Gordon Ramsay hit it big: even if they're just as disingenuous as the others, at least he's entertaining.

Anyway, I don't understand why Ina would make the list of people you can't stand. She's pretty inert and an unassuming kind person. Her only awkwardness is doting on her husband, but that's common among professor's wives who don't have the gift of actual children. You might have issues with wealth or jewish people, I think. But, you're false. He was a film school graduate who went, also, to culinary school. He wrote/writes the content for his Good Eats series, and gives credit due when he used an expert like a food historian or food scientist, even putting them in the show, like Shirley Corriher. His family members, the butcher, the neighbors and the dentist (cooking store expert) were actors, so that was his schtick too.

You can't knock that show other than to say he got a little tired by the end of the series, relying a bit too much on the fun camera angles than what even made sense to the scene, almost distracting. I disagreed with only a dozen of the recipes...not bad for a whole series.

I'd suggest you calm down and understand everyone on the Food Network sold out. All of them. Read some Bourdain memoirs if you want some inside info on the board of directors and legal dept there and how advertisers and ratings dictate programming. They'd rather play candy production type documentaries than bring great talent to the screen or use their talent. You can pick on any chef there, pretty much, if they stuck around.
One of their finest encyclopedic brains of skill and knowledge was Sara Moulton. Notice she left long ago. Also notice the two women assistants to Bobby Flay are the only ones with a brain on the network too. The dialogue in Throwdown is just one example among many. He used to have a moderator/comedian/actress to soften up some of his rude shitty comments to the studio audience, or else covered up his learning disabilities when he didn't get what they were saying to him, with a quick translation to Bobby (give him time to un-dumb his facial expression).

I take no issue with his innate ability to make good food. It's even regional. He's an educated guy from educated parents who grew up knowing what's what, and continued that. He has a family too, dotes on them, has a sense of humor and seems to work ridiculously hard. I don't give a shit if a chef is fat, and neither should you. His wife and children should care, though, if he dies early, and encourage him to exercise per his daily caloric intake. He wears crocs because he's fat, heavy and stands on his feet all day. Chefs stand all day. Their feet hurt. They ideally wear a steel toe work boot, which doesn't breathe that well, but does protect from hot spills and falling objects, and have a non-slip sole. A firm clog with a moldable insole has for decades had an arch and heel height that is considered restful to the back. They're popular with scientists, surgeons, and anyone that stands at work at a high table. He could even have diabetes, the original marketing of crocs was the podiatrist recommendation to prevent or help diabetic foot issues, and he was an early user. They were even coated in antifungal coating first, unlike predecessor plastic disposable shoes. It's not any different than making some chef's pans or any other marketing idea, whether he found the perfect pants, the perfect togue...whatever. I wear Crocs. I am a fan. I always have a pair while traveling. I like that they can be disinfected and I'm not putting hotel carpet germs, airplane lavatory or TSA area germs directly on my feet and into my more expensive shoes. If I hit a hotel spa, oh look, they're waterproof too. They are squishy and comfy after a long day of sightseeing, or if you feet swell from drinking or sitting for hours, and often times can mimic a sneaker's comfort in dressier situations, depending on the model you buy. You don't wear them? Good for you.

I think your world is small if you have a negative opinion about them. You can't justify your opinion any better than if you told me you wore flipflops every day or hiking shoes. I can't imagine Crocs would be ideal for daily wear as a chef, as I think they allow the bones to move too much thanks to the squish, fatiguing tendons. But, circulation for nerve health it certainly has, and comfort too. They will not be causing blisters. The doctor versions do not have holes, because, yea, blood is bad..probably Marios too. I've had shoes that didnt cover my ankles well enough, and had a chemical burn from an overturned flask of liquid nitrogen (laboratory setting). Crocs don't answer that need either. One universal fact though, sweat is bad in a shoe, and your feet need dryness.
