So I never had liverwurst up until recently and i didnt like it
then time after time i tried it to get used to it and it doesnt bother me so much.

I like it with sweet pickles mustard onions and sharp cheddar.
Is that too overwhelming to cover the liver taste? Also does one benefit from eating liverwurst?
How does /ck/ like theirs?

Also, the one I tried is Deutschmacher Liverwurst

I'd personally drop the cheddar and replace onions with finely sliced shallots. I wouldn't go too heavy on the pickles either.

I just eat it on toast or crackers by itself. Delicious.

My step father likes to buy a pistachio liverwurst. I put it on bread with sardines or salmon and eat it as a snack.

A rye bread based sandwich with liverwurst as a spread in lieu of mayonnaise or mustard with roast beef and onions and arugula sounds pretty good.
