Sup /ck/?

So I would like to make some lobster tomorrow. I probably can't procure a live one, and I don't know that I can find a whole one, so I will probably end up with just a tail, but I was hoping you could hit me with some of your favorite recipes for lobster. I'm open to various cooking methods and can purchase some ingredients if they're not stupid expensive.

Also hoping I could get some suggestions on sides. I have a shit load of potatoes, and I was thinking about doing a baked or some roasted potatoes to go along with it, so I'm thinking some kind of vegetable as an additional side would be good.

B-But lobster screencap.
I'm sorry Anon. It's obligatory.

I think dill would go well on the potatoes and they'd be better off boiled. You might just want to get a salad because potatoes and lobster are both rich. Arugula and some kind of vinaigrette would be good.

Yeah, that thread was pretty great.

Thanks for the suggestion on the salad.

That sounds pretty great, but rather complicated, and I don't have any brandy or cognac, and I'd hate to buy some just to use a little bit for this.

Thank you for the suggestion nonetheless.

Asian markets always have live lobster most of the time.

There's only one asian market even sorta close to me (the next town over) and I very seriously doubt they carry live lobster. But thanks for the suggestion. If I lived in a bigger city I'd be sure to check them out.

If you can't get the right ingredients to make the dish you want, make the best dish you can get the right ingredients for. You can't get proper lobster. Make something else.

Would you have any suggestions then?

he doesn't know what ingredients you have access to. are there open markets where you live, like farmers markets? regardless, fresh and local is the way to go. If you live in some kind of wasteland, then maybe using canned ingredients is the way to go. you can make homemade pizza with homemade dough and homemade sauce from canned tomatoes. its not that hard, but it will take about two hours of labor, and three or four hours total.

I've been to bars that have them. You only need $2 and some luck.
