Idk if this counts, but if you put a clove a garlic in between two bowls (like a sphere) and shake the ever living shit out of it, it will take the skin off. It's actually easier to just crush and peel it with a knife. but cool party trick I guess.

Apply food to an already hot grill /oven. It amazes me how some people like to cook on the stove before its up to temperature. The idea behind it is that it cooks the food evenly & thoroughly, in less time.

Kinda like you dont put a pizza in before preheating the oven.
