All I'm going to say is you get what you pay for.

Cocoa != Chocolate

Sonic?
I tried that the other month, it was surprisingly delicious. Spicy goes well with chocolate. Paired well with my burger. It's not gourmet by any means, but that's not why I go to sonic.

the drink he's talking about was called xocolatl,and is indeed what we got the word chocolate from.

my friend got one of those shakes at sonic with the jalapenos in it.

He said he couldn't taste it at all and when he finished he found a pile of jalapenos at the bottom of the cup

Sweet and spicy have always gone together. I'm sure Sonic, if that is the chain, has fucked it beyond reason.

BBQ sauce, many asian dishes, etc. use sweet and spicy. It's delicious in my mind.

Sounds like they dumped in the peppers and just put the shake on top. My location mixes it together and the peppers are suspended in it.

Meso-american cultures used cacao, water, salt and chili to make a drink. The sick part is actually the milk and sugar and the fact they leave out the salt. By the way, they tried this crappy shake in Germany around 10y ago and it did NOT work.
