My experience there was never bad, although some of the southern accent waitresses can be stupid as a bag of rocks, so sometimes I'll mess with them.
It's a fucking buffet, don't expect it to be top tier food from it.

The black guy who used to cook the steaks at my Golden Corral was really fast and he did everyone's order correctly. He multitasked as well as any low level cook could do. The black guys that work at my college's cafeteria do a pretty good job too. One of them now works at a local pizzeria owned by a guy that lives down the street from me.

First Time I went there, flies were fucking everywhere and one even flew in my brown sugar.

They had a big selection but the food was very bland and unremarkable. The chocolate fountain was meh as well.

Maybe it was shit because I went to one in central Pennsylvania but I doubt it.

the food is what you'd expect from a buffet

7-8 dollars for lunch without a limit, why do you even ask if that's worth it? They have plenty of things I don't like, but I do like some fairly well. An unlimited amount of something I like to eat, at a price less than 10 dollars is absolutely worth it. That said, I don't even pay, my dad take me sometimes.

Their pizza can sometimes be surprisingly good when they cook it long enough. Hate when they undercook it, then it's really bad.

Every time I've ate there, I've come away feeling disappointed in the food, environment, and overall experience. The food is banquet tv dinner quality. Frankly, if I wanted shitty banquet quality food in mass quantity, it's cheaper to just buy five of those fuckers to get just as much food as I'd feel up to attempting to eat at Golden Corral for a few dollars cheaper. Frankly, I think I actually enjoy Banquets more than GC, which is really saying something about the dreadfully shit quality of food there.
The servers are pretty pointless and it actually runs counter to the idea of a buffet style restaurant to have servers getting drinks or anything anyway. Why would I want to wait for someone who obviously doesn't give half a shit about my table because the tips they make there are so shitty, they are already expecting me to give them next to nothing so they give next to no effort. Then you add in that you're surrounded by the type of clientele who're obviously just wanting to gorge themselves and their lil ham planet kids, so why frickin bother?

So in closing, Golden Corral sucks so badly, I wouldn't eat there even if people were trying to pay me to go there. It's only fit for a trash can.

I would go again 8/10
not the best place, but certainly better than i had expected it.
It is worth it i don't remember how much it cost, but i'm sure it was not overpriced. The buffet was set up nicely and nothing looked like it had been sitting out too long. There were people cooking behind the buffet at some spots. The fish was good and other meat. Tasted fresh and just prepared. Deserts there is a fondue area (not sure if they have it still) Personally i'm not into fondue, but that's just me. Other deserts were good, lot's of variety. Salad bar was decent as well.
The people did make me feel skinny and I didn't not find hair in my food.

let me tell you a little story about the chocolate fountains

>local golden corral, got dragged along because it's my cousins birthday and it's a small family gathering
>13 fucking dollars for the buffet nowadays so I was pretty grumpy
>stick with the steak that the person cooks right in front of you and the baked potatoes
>The steak was decent enough, it wasn't a shitty cut so good job on that

>sitting back at the table, we're over near the dessert buffet/bathroom area
>look ahead of me and at the chocolate fountain area where 3 different flavored fountains are
>about six identical 8-12 year old mexiclones following a bigass hoochie mama around
>awe and wonder flow through my body as they proceed to dip different varieties of foods into the fountains, the list was not short of:
>at least one drumstick of crispy chicken
>green beans
>ribs
>what looked like slices of ham

They all walked away and families kept coming up to dip marshmallows and stuff.

haven't been to Golden Corral in 12 years, last time I went was the first night after a 10 day hiking trip where the food was mostly freeze dried ramen tier shit. at the time it was food heaven but there is probably a reason I haven't been back. I just remember ordering a bunch of steaks, somebody ate too much and vomited so many mushroom slices, red soda and strawberries in the hotel swimming pool that it was unswimmable. we went in and ended up ordering $100 of pay per view porn and got in trouble for both the pool and the porn.

Went last week, been there many times. Go around 3:30 when lunch is ending and the dinner food comes out, if you don't get a drink (just water) it should be less than $10. DO NOT GO ON SUNDAYS, the church niggers love going there and it is just awfull and stinky of cheap perfume and shit. The food is ok nothing special, get the steak that's cooked in front of you. I'd rather go to a Chinese buffet.
