This. Bacon, Banh mi and IPA as a theme would have been novel in 2005. A buddy of mine opened a place that was all craft beers and among the offerings were a slab of bacon, roasted shishito peppers and lamb sliders. That was back in 2003. He's made a go of it by hosting countless events and allying with the Slow Food movement.

BarBacon seems behind the zeitgeist. Maybe rich kid new arrivals from the Midwest will keep it in business for a little while, but I can't imagine it'll last long. Then again, the guy running the place does have some cred, so maybe he can make a go of it. But it seems like a hackneyed theme to me.
