Can we have an /int/ food thread, /ck/lods? Which country has the best/worst food? Good/bad food experiences abroad or otherwise? Any food you recommend?

>> No.5631197

Mediterranean food is the healthiest one. Among them, spanish food is the best one.

>> No.5631203

On the other hand, american food is the worst one, objectively, but almost everybody loves it

Pic needs a US flag where the blue is jell-o, the stars are white cheddar Cheez-Its, the white stripes are whipped cream or white cake icing, and the red stripes are bacon.

Anyway, I love Scandinavian food. Finland especially, and Lapland in particular for the meat alone.

Portuguese a shit, agreed. But don't you hate on German food. Those fuckers deserve a top-tier place on principle of sauerkraut and sauerbraten alone.

I spent a good chunk of time in Costa Rica a while back. I fell in love with everything there, but especially the food. The best meal I've ever had was at a little shack in the town I was in. I was in an area with a huge Caribbean influence. I had this massive bowl of seafood coconut curry with fish, shrimp, clams, and crab, and a ton of fresh veggies. I was almost brought to tears by how good it was. Oh, and it helps that it cost like 2.00, and was made by a super sweet old lady.

Also, they put pic related on everything. It's a rich, tangy, sweet, cumin-y sauce. It's like crack.

Actually, yes. One of the famous things about Costa Rica is the crazy level of friendliness they have. I'm from Texas, and we're pretty hospitable, but Jesus, they take it to a whole new level.

>trademark dish down there is gallo pinto, rice and beans, incredible
>hop in cab, ask driver if he knows of a good place that serves it
>says he knows best place in town, the lady who cooks it is a friend, shes gonna take care of us
>start driving into neighborhood
>uhhhh....
>pull up to house, cabbie hops out and says wait here
>ohgodohgodohgod
>runs back out with lady
>its his house, and his wife
>introduces us, she hugs all of us, says thank you for coming to see our lovely country
>she makes huge feast for us
>ridiculous food

Nicest people in the world. Hope to go back soon.
