I never knew popeye's was a real thing, I always assumed it was some made up place from the film Little Nicky.

>> No.5596530

I've never had Popeye's, all the have around here are kfc's and a chick fillet in the mall.

Always wanted to try their chicken, and the other one we don't have here, Churches iirc

The spicy chicken is delicious.

>> No.5596543

How come half these places (Popeye's, KFC, Church's, etc) can't even properly cook chicken?

If I want fried chicken I either go to the grocery store deli, or some delicious tempura with gravy and rice from a local Chinese franchise.

>> No.5596559

I like their chicken better than KFC

The only things I get there are the family sized boxes of chicken, biscuits, and the po'boys sometimes (they're pretty good, actually). I never get the sides, because most of them are medicre, and I once got food poisoning from the cajun rice, so yeah, no. I can make sides at home easily enough. Also, always go before 7 pm, after that, you're going to get sub par chicken. But, I do really like their spicy fried chicken. Best fried chicken chain (that's nationwide, anyway, I've had better local and regional chains).

Popeye's, at least my local store, does their chicken just as well as some local chicken joints (we got lotsa brothas here). Also, their tenders are fucking amazing. As are their mashed potatoes. And their red beans and rice. And their biscuits. Basically, everything. I usually hate all of these fucking fast food threads, but Popeye's is one place I'll always defend. Best national chicken chain, by far.

>grocery store deli, or some delicious tempura with gravy and rice from a local Chinese franchise.

But that's not real fried chicken. And where Iive, the grocery store delis all make asian, or tempura fried chicken, which doesn't even come close to real southern fried chicken. Popeye's is the best in the area. Unless I make it myself, of course, I make some damn good fried chicken, learned from my southern grandmother.

My grocery store deli makes the best broasted chicken and incredibly cheap compared to fast food chicken joints, as you can pay by the pound.

Get either blackened ranch or ranch dipping sauce and ask for extra hotsauce packets.

I just ate some fried chicken. The breasts were juicy, and the buns were soft and warm. Afterwards, the division manager of Popeyes came up to my table and asked me how the meal was. I said I was satisfied, but the meal lacked a certain je ne sais quoi.

He apologized profusely, and said he had something to show me that would make up for it. He lead me to the back of the Popeyes, to a room soaked from floor to ceiling in blood. In the center of it was a live horse, chained by all four legs to the structural supports of the warehouse like room.

As I watched, employees of the Popeyes cut large sections from the horse, which was whinnying and screaming in horror. The Popeyes employees took the chunks of horseflesh and sliced them into pieces, then they rooted around through the bags of trash strewn around the room to find discarded chicken bones.

They quickly tenderized the meat with sledgehammers and fed it into a machine which formed the horse meat around the bones, then they breaded and deep fried it. I asked the division manager why he had led me back to this place, and he pointed at the steed's rump, the a-s-s-h-o-l-e puckering rhythmically with terror. "We're just about to use that section, would you like a crack at it first?"

I quickly unzipped my pants and wasted no time jamming my erect penis into the stallion's defenseless asshole. I came just as the horse died. I was delighted. Popeyes definitely went the extra mile to make me a satisfied customer
