What is your favorite michelada recipe?
Also what beer do you prefer?

I have been making mine with Coors banquet and have been quite pleased.
Ice or no ice?

For 0.5 lts of beer
1 key lime (Citrus × aurantifolia).
pinch of salt.
dash of Worcestershire sauce.
3~6 drops of tabasco.
No ice.

I'd never heard of such a thing, it sounds like homemade ipecac. Sure enough though, there's a place in my town that supplies clamato so I'm trying this regardless.

We have clamato in every grocery store and convenience store.

Wait are we talking about beer+lime or beer+lime+shrimps+seafood?

One bricks and mortar store here I can find. $10AUS for a litre. Or approximately 6 times the price of petrol.

>clamato
Ugh, no no no. Clamato is full of sugar. It's why Canadians like it for their version of the bloody mary mess. For a while it wasn't even available in areas that didn't have Canadian tourists.

At the core, a michelada is simply a hybridization of the salt and lime enjoyed with a tequila kicking up a beer as well. Beer and lime, salt rim. Combine that with the piquant spicy of a tequila chaser, the sangrita, which is fresh tomato, lime, chilies, and you get that it's like liquid salsa with tons of tart. I think the sweetness should be keep minimal.

Oh here we go again with waaaaa its not authentic.

Michelada is beer ,clamato, salt ,lime and ice.

I don't give a ripe fuck about its obscure origins.

Not worth it.
Just add sugar and msg to some tomato juice.
The clam is actually irrelevant.

>confirmed for "real traveler" asshole with a shit palate
HFCS, MSG and dried garlic powder when you pick up a quart of clamato?instead of a quart of tomato juice? and adding your own ingredient? How fucking hard is that? Mexicans have no issue with farm to table. They have every fresh ingredient on hand that is added to michelada, and they all have a blender.

Gross. Clamato is too sweet, like this guy >>5596470 said. Your tastebuds are contaminated.

You say msg like its a bad thing.
Fuck off vegan, anti GMO , organic twatface.

MSG is perfectly healthy unless you wear a tinfoil hat.

Never had one of these/heard of them. What do they taste like? Similar to a ceaser?

Are they supposed to be spicy?

im mexican and i cant understand the appeal on these.

absolutely disgusting.
tomato and beer just does not make sense to me

They do not have to be spicy but mine are.
There is a Caesar quality for sure. I like them better though.
Budweiser makes one already in the can but fresh is better.

pulque is not likely an easy find in TJ or most any place near the border
at least not any pulque of any quality

Pulque is rather good once you get used to it in fact it is much better than any beer or wine IMO
