OP I AM HERE TO SAVE YOU

>Buy a giant sack of quick oats, a giant sack of rice (whichever kind is cheapest, let's not be picky), a giant sack of dried beans (black beans are my favourite), some assorted canned fishes and meats, bread, cabbage, liver (veal is better than beef, but more expensive), chicken hearts, chicken thighs, any other cheap cut of meat or offal, braunschweiger, the cheapest cheese, mustard, cans of baked beans, potatoes, white onions, etc.
>Check your supermarkets routinely for their cheapest cuts of meat, buy smart
>Every morning, eat plain oatmeal or baked beans
>Every afternoon, eat baked beans or a sandwich or something
>On any given night, for dinner, eat [SOME KIND OF ANIMAL PRODUCT] with a side of [RICE, BEANS, CABBAGE, POTATOES, ONIONS IN ANY COMBINATION]

This is how I live. Rice with black beans and sauteed hearts is probably my favourite, or liver with a side of steamed cabbage and onions. If you try hard, you can spend about $2 a day and eat pretty alright.

Rice, beans, half a round ham, frozen veggies of your choice. It's like 10$ and can feed you for a few days. Just throw it in a crock pot overnight and add hot sauce.

Oh, also, bananas!

Bananas are filling and good for you, and cost very little. In general, look for good deals on fruits and veggies, fruits should replace candy/snacks in your diet if you want to save money.

Today, my local supermarket had gigantic sacks of lychee fruit for $1.74, I bought five.

So fucking good, we have them in Brazil-style barbecues and they're one of my favourites. Texture isn't stringy or anything, just meat-y I guess
