That's Valencian (Spain lol) horchata, not real horchata from Mexico. Mexican one is made of morisqueta (white rice) cinnamon, vanilla, and piloncillo (raw sugar). Some in South Mexico and Central America add chocolate and ground pumpkin seed and they call it Morro. Chufas are difficult to get outside of Catalonia/Spain.

In a similar note palm wine is very common on the south of mexico, known as tuba. Why is it that nobody ever talks about it? It's delicious.

I just had Rumchata for the first time at a wedding last weekend. It tasted like glorious liquid animal crackers to me...I will be buying some soon.

>> No.5575615

I like to make horchata and add rum and then cinnamon bun vodka, so that it's like Rumchata only it'll actually get me drunk and isn't as expensive per "serving" because that shit is so fucking overpriced even if it's delicious.

Had coconut horchata in Obregon, Sonora not long ago. I was fucking hot and thirsty and it was the nectar of the gods.
It was like regular horchata with a mild coconut flavor and pieces of fresh coconut and ice.
