What a sad life!

Go pick some up, it's really tasty.
And it's only like $1 for a huge bottle that will last forever.
The black label (pictured) is my favorite -- it's the "extra-spicy" (not really all that spicy) -- but the yellow label, the "original" is also wonderful.

What are some of your favorite hot sauces, or just general condiments that you enjoy?

Glad to see all the Valentina love on here lately. It really is a great sauce, both in quality and price. Stuff that good isn't supposed to be so cheap, but it is!

As far as mass-market hot sauces go, the chipotle and green Tabasco are also pretty good. (Original is as well, but should be used differently.)

Crystal is one that I tried recently and have taken a liking to. I'd like to see how it compares to Louisiana and Trappey's, which I haven't had yet.

el yucateco is a great starter sauce for people who wanna break away from "its not hot but tastes good" to "this is damn hot and tastes great"

Eh, I personally found the habanero flavour a little overwhelming,
but it's an okay sauce.

This is EXCELLENT sauce if you can find it.
(Only ever seen it at super Mexican places.)

I recommend anyone who likes hot sauces get the tabasco variety pack at least once in their lives. Also this shit, although ridiculously overpriced, is delicious.

Like a thicker version of tabasco. Great for dipping.

one the best-tasting hot sauces i've had came from the dollar store.

it's better than frank's, crystal, or texas pete.
the heat is almost non-existent, but it has very bright and intense chili flavor.

it's the best of the southern sauces imo.

i won't compare it to tabasco 'cause that sauce is in a class of its own.

not posting favorite, just contributing with a new purchase 4 myself.

It's the Saudi Arabian version of Tobasco basically, and its slightly too vinegary. But its got decent heat levels.

I really like pic related. Something tells me /ck/ will think I'm a huge faggot because of how trendy it is but fuck it, it's tasty.

On sort of a kick right now where i'm buying a new type of hot sauce every time I run out of my current one.

can anyone recommend one that's really hot and flavorful up front, but doesn't linger too long? most of the time when I read reviews people talking about the heat building up slowly like it's a virtue but it's the exact opposite of what I want. I wanna take a bite of somethign spicy and go GODDAMN THAT'S HOT and then have it fade away, rather than eat half my meal, barely taste it, and then sit there with my mouth on fire long afterwards, which is what alot of the crappier sauces i've tried have been like.

I live in a predominantly hispanic neighborhood. Mostly Central American, but also some Mexicans and South Americans. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should look for that might only be found in a hispanic grocery store? I prefer a fruity moderately spicy sauce with a good vinegar kick though.

hmm. i tried sriraja panich from thailand but it was just weird in a way I can't really describe. if you tried it would you say shark is similar to that? or is it fairly similar to huy fong just better in your opinion

Here's one that I tried just because. It's pretty nasty, I wouldn't buy it again, but if I hadn't tried it in the first place I'd still be wondering.

So for the three that I've tried:

El Yucateco is really good for that, nice heat in the xxxtra that doesn't linger too long.

funny thing, i never had cock sauce, all of the sriracha i've had is thai imports that are somehow cheaper.

>> No.5549439

>>5549408
i'd say it's worth trying, if only because it's considerably different than the thai ones. it may not be the best version, but imo it's the one with the broadest application, you really can put it on damn near anything, which i don't feel is the case with shark or panich
