Are those the honey chicken strips things? I remember years back as a kid trying to get them, and the smell of the plate made me gag to the point of throwing up a little. I tried it next time with the buffalo sauce, and had the same reaction even though it was clearly a different scent. It must have been the corn on the cob or something.

Well, seeing as how I've gotten food poisoning from Chili's (three different Chili's, in two different states) the past three times I've eaten there (spaced far between visits), I'm going to have to say NO.

I think these places are all pretty shit. Honestly better off spending your money at something that's not a chain, but if I must, I usually do BJ's Brewhouse.

>> No.5520941

BJ's food isn't bad, but the service there is so fucking terrible I haven't been back since the last time we went there, over 2 years ago. Literally the worst service I've ever had in a restaurant.

Not really, they all serve generic bar food. Burgers, fried shit, shitty steak, shitty chicken, shitty pastas, gruesome salads, and the most ridiculous excuses for appetizers ever. Plus, it's common knowledge that they all microwave the shit out of everything. All the pasta dishes, appetizers, pretty much everything but the items that need to be grilled, come in microwave bags. If I want a frozen dinner, I'll go buy one at the store for 1/4 of the price.

False I worked prep/line at 2 brinker restraunts one being Chilis the other Maggianos and I can tell you for a fact I've never even seen a microwave in one of our kitchens.
Most items you may think are made in a mic. are probably deep fried.

Yeah, it was pretty fucking bad. We went there late, like 9pm, but they are open till 11pm, so that shouldn't have been a problem.
>walk in
>give name to hostess and sit down
>15 minutes goes by
>get up and ask, am told table will be ready in a few minutes
>look around restaurant and notice one whole side of the place is nearly empty
>Okay.... sit back down, anticipating we will be seated shortly
>wait another 15 minutes
>ask again, am told it will be another "few minutes"
>ask if we can just sit in the bar section
>am told that's fine, we can just go grab a table
>sit down at table in the bar section, literally 10 feet from hostess station.
>she can clearly see us
>sit there for 10 minutes, no menus or anything, no waitress
>ponder just leaving, but no other restaurants in the neighborhood are still open, and we don't want fast food
>waitress finally comes, takes drink order, but we still don't have menus
>5 minutes later comes back with menus, no drinks
>asks if we're ready to order
>tell her we'd like our drinks first because we're dying of thirst after waiting so long, but we'll order anyway
>explain very nicely (we were not rude at all) about how long we'd been waiting
>waitress immediately takes on beaten puppy attitude, won't look us in the eye and mutters "I'll get the manager"
>20 minutes later, the manager comes over RIGHT as we are getting our food
>waitress just sets food down and tries to run off, didn't even ask if we needed drink refills
>manage crouches down next to our table and asks us what the problem is in hushed tones, like some horrible catastrophe is happening
>keeps talking to us for 10 mintues, as our food is sitting there getting cold
>finally tell him we'd just like to eat our food, please
>manager leaves, waitress still acts like we're about to beat her or something
>finish eating and get the fuck out and never go back

I really like the Applebee's bar that I go to honestly. It just has a nice atmosphere, mostly a product of the bartender and clientèle. I really like Ruby Tuesday's steak and their broccoli is pretty much perfect. Their cheddar biscuit roll things are decent too.

Hey dipshit, it doesn't matter how much seating capacity they have if they don't have enough wait staff to seat you. Then you immediately get passive aggressive with the waitress when in all likelihood her dipshit coworker probably blew off work and she is managing the whole dining room.

I've been a server before, and a fucking cook, you stupid twat, and I know how seating works. There were other waitstaff in that dining room, they were quite visible, chatting, standing at the hostess station drinking, tending to the couple of tables they each had. There is NEVER any excuse for keeping people waiting over 30 minutes. NEVER. That is the sign of a poorly run restaurant. The only thing I really don't like about these places is how AMAZINGLY FUCKING TERRIBLE the food is for you relative the price and quality.

Like, a chicken sandwich just shouldn't have a day and a half worth of salt. It just fucking shouldn't.

Their burgers are okay. It bothers me that they won't go below medium on it(not that you'd really want t below medium with their quality, but still), but they're not bad.

I actually like their blue cheese burger; it's vaguely disgusting, but in a bizarrely pleasant way.

Their potato soup has been dicks to me, though. One time I got a bowl that hadn't been cut with stock. It was like eating sweetened potato custard (which wasn't exactly bad, but rather nauseatingly rich).

I've never eaten at an Olive Garden, but my friend used to be waitstaff at one. He was not a fan.
