Naporitan is the name of a pasta dish, which is popular in Japan. The dish consists of spaghetti, tomato ketchup or a tomato-based sauce, onion, button mushrooms, green peppers, sausage, bacon and Tabasco sauce.

Anyone tried this or make it?

It tastes like sweet and sour noodles, but with a spaghetti bolognaise background taste.

Honestly I'm intrigued. The fact that it's survived this long says something about it.

The fact that something survives for a long time says absolutely nothing about it. Humans do, and continue to do for generations, all sorts of asinine bullshit.

works best if you steam all the veggies and such and use tomato paste and a table spoon or chili sauce.

>> No.5478023

Points for making a good naporitan:
- use flavorfull sausages
- don't fry the veggies too long; you don't want them to become soggy
- use proper parmesan, not powdershit
- use good quality ketchup; Heinz will do

Still a meh tier pasta dish at best. I think Nips only like it for nostalgic reasons.

Yeah, i think that can get you killed in some neighborhoods. Just because it's from MUHWEABOOLAND doesn't mean it's good, in fact most things from there are shit.

If Japanese people were typically 900 pounds overweight and fed 5 year old children energy drinks before making them do a striptease on stage, then yeah, we'd be bashing them

You being of the same demographic as honey boo boo would undoubtedly have a hard time grasping the difference between one dish and a corrupt culture

Not him, but even though I think this dish sounds pretty gross, you really shouldn't judge it simply by the ingredients and what socio-economic group likes it. Is it poor food? Yes. Is that completely fucking arbitrary, a la lobster? yep

Japanese cuisine is retarded. Their nonsensical palate and culinary mutations are nothing new, they've been doing it forever.

We have, what, sushi to thank them for? Everything else I can think of with a Japanese name really came from China. (And USA does sushi better at that.)

My fav sushi is tuna salad wrapped in orzo rolled in ice berg lettuce. Had it the other day at nobu with a side of pickled avacado.

I don't eat that dish as I am not Japanese. I am merely pointing out the hypocrisy of a person from a culture that considers wheelchairs an acceptable response to obesity, attempting to equate one of its own gastronomic abominations with a minor curiosity from a culture of non-hamplanets.
