Trollish as fuck.

Egg salad, tuna salad, and yes even herring salad also include diced vegetables and sometimes fruit.

That's like saying a meat loaf or chili is salad, because it sometimes includes diced vegetables.
Adding vegetables doesn't make something a salad, salad consist of mainly fruits and vegetables.

SALAD
>: a mixture of raw green vegetables (such as different types of lettuce) usually combined with other raw vegetables
>: a mixture of small pieces of raw or cooked food (such as pasta, meat, fruit, eggs, or vegetables) combined usually with a dressing and served cold

Definition defined, thread over.

Finally someone understands the way I feel.

I don't care what it says, it doesn't feel "good enough" even I am american and I feel like some weird butter master got that added in.

I just have to wonder what kind of a person you have to be to give a shit about something like this.

>the kind that takes salad seriously

you might say "this doesn't effect you because anyone can make their own salad any way they want" and you are completely correct.

the only thing that might happen is that someone might ask me "do you like salad?"

>YEA bro I love salad!
>go to bro's house
>pile of eggs and meat mixed with like 1 carrot

that's not going to happen. in casual conversation salad is always implied to mean lettuce and veggies. if someone's talking about egg salad or tuna salad or pasta salad, they will specify.

you must not get out at all whatsoever. or you're just grasping at straws.

You should pull out an old 50s or 60s lifestyle magazine. The number of ads for Jello and Aspic salads with weird hunks of ham and macaroni and shit in them would completely ruin your life.

>> No.5471063

>>5471050
I wonder if aspic will ever make a comeback. I've never had it but it pops up a lot in cookbooks I own. Mostly the gourmet ones or the ones from the 60's.

>> No.5471082

>>5471063

I hope not, but that's mostly because I don't like the combination of flavour/texture it provides. Hot savoury jellies set with agar or cold sweet jellies I don't mind, but cold savoury gels just aren't my thing.

cold savoury is okay, but not this, particular kind.
