Hi /ck/. I want to cook something nice for a guy but I'm not a terribly skilled cook. It needs to be able to travel well as I have to drive to see him. I live in Cali, so w/e is fresh out here. He's a rather good cook so I don't want to look like an aspie. I have a few days, so anything that takes long prep is fine too.

Any suggestions?

well as far as something easy that travels well you could do something like lasagna or baked ziti

I feel like those would be really heavy for summer. What would you do with those?

It could even be something that I can prep and cook there, too.

yea they kinda would be heavy

you could do a spinach and feta stuffed chicken breast alongside a greek salad.

>prepare a dry salad at home with homemade dressing in a little bottle. cook the meat when you arrive at his location

>make a stew and put it in a thermos

>chicken caesar wraps?

Moussaka. It's not that hard, he probably hasn't had it a bunch, and it travels well in its pre-cooked form.

WAIT
if you can prep and cook it there why do you need to travel with it?!

It's silly but I don't want him to see me looking at directions when I'm cooking it. Meat and salad seems really simple. Any specific recipes or ideas to dress them up/
>>5470556
What would you do to go along with this? It looks delicious
>>5470553
He cooked me something similar the other day. I don't want to mimic it!

Attach some meat and potatoes under the hood of your car (in a suitable container) and let the heat cook it on your drive. He will know you are a keeper.

I use to heat up burritos like that when I was roadtripping

I always wanted to do this recipe and travel somewhere with a pot in a blanket, so the chilli get its rest and at the spot, you just shread the meat with forks and you'll be a hero of the day.

Make something you love.
Make something that takes 5 minutes to prepare.
He wants to be with you, silly.
He doesn't want to wait for 5 hours for you while you cook.

Bring water to the boil, cook spaghetti (give it 1 minute less than the package indicates). Heat olive oil in a pan, add chopped garlic & chili to taste, 12 deepfrozen mussels per person. Sprinkle with dried basil & ground black pepper. Add the spaghetti, mix thoroughly. Done in 15 minutes, have a vanilla cream dessert ready. Move on to what you're both actually interested in.

Well, I'm going to most likely be bringing it to him, so he won't be waiting long. I figure I might as well make something good lol Can you elaborate a bit more on the muscles?

Yea, OP, make it something your family eats, or from a favorite childhood restaurant, something you like a lot, etc.
