I make my own MREs for myself and my family. I make a point to make sure that every car has one in the off chance they get in an accident and it's a while before help arrives.

I normally include: Pack of beef jerky, Home made cereal bar, Two pack of crackers, Water purification tablet, Hot Hands packet, Single serving of Spam/Ham in a tin, Plastic fork and knife combo with napkin, and a Block of ramen.

I place this all as compactly as possible and vacuum seal it with a personal machine.
