Barbeque sauce general? Whats your favorite? Bought or made at home?

Personally I have a pretty basic chipotle/garlic/red onion ketchup based sauce that all my friends swear by. But then again, they also swear by my peanut sauce thats made with peanut butter.

How does one even define barbeque sauce? That mustard based shit?

Sauce is what you make it, baby.
Carolinas...Mustard-Base
KC...Vingar-base (?)
Memphis...Ketchup-Base

BBQ sauce is hella good all-around. It really doesn't matter how you make it. I like a sweeter sauce.

i make my own, ketchup base but id like to start experimenting with tomato paste, maybe even those artisan balls of it they dry in the sun someday
i have family in north carolina and while i love their vinegar sauce i still cant figure out how to use it i don think its conducive to the way i cook
