FIRST DISH THAT I HAVE COOKED IN MY NEW CAST IRON PAN

feel free to lurk, comment and rate!

I used beef chuck (i dont know the direct translation, google translated it to "entrecote"), approx. 450g of it.

so here we go...

seasoned the meat with salt and pepper, also did put a little bit of flour on it so that it helps to thicken the sauce that it will be cooked in.

i said its chuck and that only google translator translated it as entrecote, it actually comes from the part underneath it.

I sauteed a small onion in a lot of butter and olive oil, after it got glossy i added one cup of rice and diced asparagus, after 2 mintues i added 2 cups of boiling water and covered it with a lid

I squished the potato and mixed it with the sauce and the rice, the meat was very tender and the rice filled with small pieces of asparagus mixed with this gravy worked very very very well.

i hope i entertained you for atleast a moment

For anything other than searing meat, I would rather use that walmart teflon pan than cast iron.

If you're going to spend 60eur on a searing pan, get stainless steel. That way you can stop pretending to be an artisan faggot because you spend your weekends seasoning your pan.

No shame in buying a 5 eur cast iron pan at a yard sale if you're poor though.

I already have stainless steel pots of high quality (Berghoff, 25 yr warranty), and i would go for le creuset anyday.
I am a business man, i dont work 8 hours each day, so i like to do things around my house - i dont mind spending a whole day seasoning a cast iron pan.
Since i operate mainly in the food import/export business, i know that i have to be very cautious choosing what do i eat and what do i use to prepare my food. Those things are however way beyond your mind and your current problems.

>>5381325
no, its not, czech/poland is better for this. girls from slovakia are "exported" to austria, where they obviously cost more.
