Shit. So last night I roasted a chicken, carved it, took a breast to eat and left the rest in a plastic container to cool down. (7pm)

I ended up forgetting about it and remembered this morning at 10am so I put it in the fridge.

It smells fine but after googling it seems as though some people think it is ok, others disagree.

Thoughts?

I would eat it. I have had food that has been left out for days. You will be fine anon.

There is a slight risk involved but you should be fine. Usually I'll make dinner and will just let it sit out all night and eat more in the morning when I get home because I'm a lazy fuck. I've never gotten sick from it.

That's good to hear. How should I reheat it to stand the best chance of killing off the bacteria?

Unless it smells funny, it's fine.
Microwave it, if you want.

worse case is that you'll shit water for like a day

I'll only reiterate what's been said because you used one of my favorite reaction pics.

It's fine...dunno about leaving shit out for days though. Depends on what it is. Reheat and enjoy as you normally would.

I had a peruvian roommate who left cooked chicken in room temperature for like 4~5 days and still ate out of it. Guess you just have to nuke it hard.

I think there are other immunocompromised conditions out there than aids.
