Is there any culinary use for butterflies, /ck/? If so, which species taste the best?

Salads, mostly. Like flowers in cooking they're just mostly tasteless and there for extra color and half a calorie

they all taste like ass, and a bunch of them are toxic. FYI one of the primary compounds in their wings is urea

I used to think that caterpillars just grew longer legs and wings inside their cocoon, but they actually like, secrete digestive acids and dissolve their body into goo then grow a new one. I don't want to eat something that creepy.
