for chicken ramen, add pan seared chicken breast along with the broth left in the pan, sauteed onion, black pepper... whatever other seasonings you have that suit your tastes. maybe a few dabs of sriracha.

well both of those sound pretty tasty to me. my personal favorite is rotisserie chicken shredded up into chicken flavored.

if you want to get real fancy, maybe sautee some vegetables (onion/carrot/garlic) as well

spring onion is probably a worthwhile addition as well

Cut some chicken into bite sized pieces. Stir fry them. When done, add some oyster sauce and stir to coat the chicken and heat up the oyster sauce.

At the same time, cook the ramen noodles, discard the water, stir in the seasonings.

Put the ramen noodles on a plate and stir in the chicken pieces.

Sprinkle some chopped green onions on top.

Enjoy.

Drain it then add an 8oz can of tomato sauce. Microwave until hot.

Ignore these punks, OP. I'm like you: Limited budget and I got shit to do. Here's what you want:

Chuck the flavoring packet from the ramen
One can of Nally's Thick chili
Frozen peas
A few ounces of your favorite cheese or cheese-style product
Your favorite hot sauce - I like Tapatio but the packets from Taco Bell work too

You can figure it out from there. A few tips, though:

I find half the can of chili is plenty, maybe even as little as 1/3. However you do it, make sure you mix it up because the science doesn't work right if you leave it separated.

Put in at least as many peas (or whatever frozen veg chunks you decide on) as chili.

Put the ramen in its own bowl, heat up some water to boiling (enough to completely submerge the ramen block or blocks), put the other stuff in the microwave for 4 minutes right after you pour the hot water in the ramen.

4 minutes will cook both plenty. When the microwave stops, drain the ramen. You heard me: Get rid of the water so you just have a loose bowl of noodles. Dump them into the chili/veg/cheese bowl, mix/toss.

I've found that the square Ziploc brand storage containers are the perfect size and shape for one or two blocks of ramen.

Inb4 "That's terrible for you". The only thing that's aggressively bad for your health is the salt. For me, this meal makes up most or all my sodium intake for the day, and it was approved by the ruthless diet Nazis at the So Now You're Diabetic clinic.

Enjoy, OP, and you're welcome.

Forgot to mention: For best effect, read the above post like R. Lee Earmy in full drill sergeant mode.

>> No.5347646

i usually just add 2 eggs, one barely cooked so i can burst the yolk into the broth and one somewhat cooked so the yolk is nice and soft... then tons of tapatio and some vegetables if i have any

>> No.5347665

I usually just add sriracha to the boiling water and make a soup base out of it, then add the ramen, flavoring and some spring onions.

I add an egg or two for a thicker texture.
It looks like shit, but it makes for a hearty meal.

You might want to look into spending a little more per packet.
Practically every brand of noodles at asian food stores tastes better than Maruchan and Nissin.
Especially the korean shit with thick flavoring pastes, that shit goes well on it's own.
