it was great! Well worth the price of admission. It's always great to be able to enjoy food int his style from time to time. It was also my first experience in a restaurant like this. I'm a chef in a tourist town. I work at the only restaurant in town that doesn't do pub food. So it's great to get excited over food like this.

I've been to a few one stars, living in NY makes it easy.

They're perfectly good restaurants but there are plenty of good restaurants without a star. And I don't mean like durr mahmouns is great hurr who needs silverware, I mean like the service and food and wine and presentation are every bit as good if not better at some unstarred joints.

I haven't been to two or three star places, maybe that will change my mind. I don't hang out with hedge fund kids so it's hard to convince my friends to spend hundreds of dollars on dinner.

I was actually somewhat shocked to learn that I had eaten at one a while back while in Hong Kong.

It was okay I guess though I wouldn't have pegged it as the best meal I had in Hong Kong, or even on that particular trip.

You mean the dumpling place? They just threw that one on there to seem more diverse. Michelin stars are basically for French/international cuisine, anything outside that category might be good but I wouldn't assume it's on there for any reason other than the judges were given a directive and found a way to fulfill it.
