If you built a house with a large budget, why kind of cooking setup would you want?

Does the idea of having two kitchens sound appealing to you?

>> No.5289517

Hell, no. More space, more stuff, more problems.

>> No.5289515

Not really.
I'd want a big kitchen though.
And if possible, a stone wood fire oven outside.

Maybe a back kitchen of just one bench and trough.
Good for fish, vegetables game etc.

I would have a large indoor kitchen, and an outdoor kitchen including wood fired oven, and outdoor living room.

Is it crazy to want stainless steel on the walls?

>> No.5290166

>>5290159

as long as all your floors slope to drains and you can cover anything water sensitive like fryers, no.

Then you just powerwash EVERYTHING

>> No.5290183

>>5290166
Do you just wheel the fryer into another room?

Most households in SEA or at least the country I am from have two kitchens, dry(indoor) and wet(outdoor) kitchen. Stir frying/deep frying or anything with strong odors are done outside. It is easier to clean too. Having to go through a closed door everytime you need something is a hassle but you do get used to it.

This is what I would want. I've worked in a couple of restaurants over the years and I've learned to appreciate stainless steel countertops and shelves.

Having stainless steel walls would be awesome.

>> No.5290434

The best kitchen that I've seen I can't relate here because it's private to my family. I will say though that the place was written up in Architechtual Digest. That was spot on.

>> No.5290613

A nice, large open kitchen with plenty of counter space, a stove/oven, nice refrigerator and a good set of knives with a cutting board to put under them sounds like heaven
Where I'm at now, the kitchen's open countertop space is roughly 8"x2.5'
It's suffering

Why would i want two kitchens???

>> No.5291823

I wouldn't necessarily need two separate kitchens, but I would like a separate area for cleanup. A large washing sink, drying rack, dishwasher, counter, etc all in stainless, off to the side where it wouldn't interfere with the cooking space at all. That's my biggest bitch, having to use the same area for clean up as I use for cooking. I hate that.

That's like the most soulless setup. I'm imagining people getting killed on that counter.

I would want this. Fucking ancient and basic shit. I like small effective setups. A kitchen shouldn't be treated as a living room. It's a dedicated room. I wouldn't want a round table with chairs in my bathroom either.
