No "Dinner, /ck/, you?" thread? For shame, /ck/. Everyone post 'em!

Sandwich (bottom to top) with toasted seed bread, cream cheese, red onion, tomato, bacon, spinach, cucumber, and roasted red pepper spread.

Checkmate my friend.
Not pictured is the white bread and butter and iced tea.
The rocket was slightly wilted by the chorizo and peach and you can't really see the pine nuts but they're there.
That's a nice marinated feta also.

Seared tuna steak with a mint/coriander seed marinade/rub thing, needed more mint.
Served with some simple romaine lettuce with vinaigrette.

Yesterday I finally decided to cook something with all the various nuts I had, plus an overly extended list of ingredients.

The glorious result was a sort of thin seed bread that was eaten in epic sandwiches, with galanga seasoned baked potato and sweet potato fries aside.

Salmon burgers.
I got some frozen (but good quality) salmon patties, grilled em up
Toasted bun with cos, red onion, cucumber, avocado, cheese and homemade tartare (Mayo, lemon juice, lemon zest, sour cream, capers, corchinion, pepper). It was pretty tasty. And a gin tonic (Hendricks with cucumber, boom!). One during cooking and one during eating

I would never cook burgers for dinner, first of all. If I wanted Burgers, there's an In-N-Out a block away, and .. their burgers are better.

But let's say I did want to cook them, i would do it on a weekend or day off(holiday), and closer to lunch/BBQ hours ... outside... with some beer... at like 2-5 pm.

not around a dinner table with the family! I mean.. whatever. Those burgers do look fancy, with grilled onions and shit, i'm still just "WHY".

that wasn't even my point. my point was that any pasta dish with some sides, home cooked any-kind-of-steak... fucking meatloaf, stew, any thing HOME cooked would be better then a fucking burger.

burgers were made for convenience, not gourmet. There is not such thing as a burger that is "REAL food". Burgers are BBQ fare, and fast food. (and pretencious douchy truffle kobe burgers.)

If you're making a burger at home, just means YOU"RE the one that has no clue what good food is.

Ask yourself... how often does one make home-made pizza? Home made tacos/burritos (doesnt count if youre mex)?

There's a reason burgers are street food you numb nots. It's because they use cheap ass ingredients and are convenient. It's a heart attack on a bun.

somehow rationalized burgers = fast food.

I suppose then steak is therefore fast food, since a burger is essentially ground up steak.

> I suppose then steak is therefore fast food, since a burger is essentially ground up steak.
> since a burger is essentially ground up steak.

Oh, well I was going to attack you but it's obvious that you are uneducated about where ground beef comes from.

You see... the USDA has different grades of beef.... the actual big parts of the cow... the Chuck... the ribs... rump... all that shit is portioned out into roasts, steaks, and stew meat.

The shit thats LEFT.... the random scraps on the meat is where ground beef comes from. It's almost a waste product... but after they make ground beef there's still more shit left - fat, tendons, bones, a little meat... and that goes into the next 3 grades - standard, canner, and some other shitty one....

That's where dogfood and cat food (and spam) comes from.

Ever heard the term "mechanically processed beef".

Anyway... burgers are made from ground beef. Unless you go out of your way to grind your own chuck... then you are NOT getting a ground up steak.

And chuck is shit steak anyway... people Roast chucks because they're so tough... they rarely make steaks with them.

ground up steak =! burger.

Adults have families, mortages, and other responsibilities. We are not allowed to have fun. Our fun consists of our gaining-weight wife cooking us our favorite HOT meal, and sitting down for that meal before drinking a glass of wine and boning the same genitals you've been boning for a decade.

You best build yourself a time machine so you can transport back to 1950s America, because that's the only way you're ever going to be happy. If you don't have a family... what do you live for? Biological drives like water, food and sex? Adrenaline? you used him emotionally, yes. we've established that. He's invested love into you. That's why you feel better. Unfortunately, since your return love is just an "act", he will eventually feel just as you did - paranoid and severly depressed.

> i have a cat :p and come on, read my posts! i said we're under a lease, which happened before we got together.

well... then you really shouldn't be calling each other bf and gf... i mean you can do whatever you want - im not the king of the world.

just... most people that live together and fuck together but dont love each other..... call each other roommates. It's a relationship of convenience.

And since you don't love him... (butterflies!)... then as soon as the lease is over and you move on.... you will be trying to adapt to your new life... and he will be trying to chase you...

and then shit will hit the fan... he will become all clingy and try to get you back, that'll turn you off since you dont have butterflies, and you will both be worse off then you already are.

paranoid and severely depressed. You will feel like he betrayed you - because you TOLD HIM what the deal is... but he didn't listen, because he likes you. :D

i think a couple of weeks before the lease is up you should dump him. Have a couple of hate fucks... help each other move... and then never speak to each other again.

frankly though i think i'm too dependent on him to want to try to adapt to a new life. he's safe. i know it's not a good thing, and hopefully he'll move on first (we both have that responsibility, you know!)... truthfully... i hope i die first. i'm so unhealthy it's possible. then he can actually move on, realize he never needed me and that i was a poor decision. i may end up just diving off of a building... we'll see.

unfortunately, not... the left side does get lower from the weight of the ping pong ball and the string.

the right side, however, also gets heavier. Even though the weight of the steel ball is suspended with a string outside the equation... the archimedia effect of displacement still says that the weight of the steel ball in the right side is equal to the displacement to the water... so...

since the displacement of that amount of water... the size of that sphere... is obviously much heavier then the weight of the ping pong ball and string....
