usually the cheapest ones. The trendy brands like Kaba and Nesquick not only cost double they also dissolve very badly in cold milk, i guess its because they add a lot of the stuff that prevents powders from getting wet and sticking together. Yes, it looks fluffy even after being open for a while but it clumps up into many small chocolate geodes as soon as you pour it into a cup.

sirup sounds interesting, usually the only flavours besides chocolate are vanilly, strawberry and banana, but with sirups I suddenly have infinite choices

I remember my parents making me a milkshake with an egg-yolk and honey when i was a kid. I loved this stuff, but nowdays i am repulsed by the thought of a raw egg

the only reason that other animals don't drink milk is because they lack the ability to obtain it. We do a lot of things other animals don't do, like grow crops and cook food. Adult cows sometimes drink from their own udders (it looks crazy). Given the chance; cats, dogs, and pigs especially like cow's and goat's milk. But yea there's a lot of misconceptions with milk. It's good and bad. The whole calcium thing was debunked and the strong bones thing was bullshit too. Milk does provide fats, protein, and vitamins but current big milk producers often use lots of hormones and antibiotics on the cows. Humans ingest these and currently the full effects are unknown but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to guess they're not good.

Lactose intolerance develops from the reduction of the enzyme lactase in the human intestine. After weaning and upon getting older the body normally reduces production of this enzyme leading to intolerance. This can be solved by simply reducing the amount of milk you drink or taking supplements.

So overall milk itself isn't bad as humans have been consuming cow's milk for some thousands of years. But currently with all the junk (hormones, antibiotics etc) getting loaded into the cows you might want to look for all natural milk.

The process of milking cows is completely industrialized and unsexualized, that's why its normal. (Also the entire number of heifers in the world produce more milk than the combined number of human females on this planet so, that's another thing).

You're on the right track, but tastebuds back then are much different than now. Our pallets have been influenced by unnatural foods, making us more desensitized to things that are good for us.

We have tastebuds to avoid poisonous foods. If we were living in a world where fast food and refined sugar didn't exist, then you would be correct.

However, we are not truly omnivores. We might have evolved to be able to eat cooked meat, but this isn't the best for our health. Our physiology most resembles herbivores and frugivores. The only reason we evolved to be able to digest cooked meat is because in times of scarcity, that was sometimes the only thing available.

If we were true omnivores, we would be able to eat uncooked meat, and want to do that. To say that we are true omnivores even when it's very dangerous and off-putting to us to eat raw meat is like saying animals are true herbivores if they had to cook their vegetables first.

Um what. The protein in milk is protein. Protein is good for humans. I don't know what your trying to say. Its casein and whey. Eating too much protein isn't associated with any major health complications. You might shit more and at worst have some kidney trouble but you would have to eat a shit ton of protein to hurt yourself.

>>5266681
Are you legitimately retarded? Do you have any science background?

Ingesting antibiotics when they are not necessary kills of beneficial microorganisms that naturally live in your body. This is bad.

The hormone argument is trickier since there's little evidence backing up either side. One common hormone used on cows has now receptor sites in humans so its thought to have no health effects. Another one does but the debate is ongoing whether ingesting too much can lead to adverse effects.

Overall your a dumbass

>> No.5267231

>>5267137

>Eating too much protein isn't associated with any major health complications.

Plant protein isn't, but animal protein is. Animal protein is linked to osteoperosis due to its sulfuric nature and acidity, and cancer due to the way it increases levels of insulin-like growth factor 1, which promotes the growth of new tissue, leading to tumors and rapidly multiplying cancer cells

>Ingesting antibiotics when they are not necessary kills of beneficial microorganisms that naturally live in your body

OK, it's a bad idea to swallow a bunch of pills you don't need. Fair enough. But you're skipping over the important details of whether nor not the antibiotics survive the trip from the animal to your table. There is a lot of time and temperature changes there, not to mention a massive amount of dilution. That's very different than ingesting antibiotics straight-up.

>The hormone argument is trickier since there's little evidence backing up either side

There's plenty of evidence if you study how hormones work. Hormones have a very short half-life in the body. They are constantly being broken down by the liver, therefore the various glands in your body constantly secrete them to maintain the proper levels. That means that ingesting (or injecting) hormones has little effect because their half-life is so short that special methods of administration are needed in order for them to work. For example, hormone pills such as dianabol or winstrol are taken many times a day, throughout the day. Hormone replacement therapy or bodybuilders usually use injectable steriods instead. They are long-ester versions of the normal molecule which are specially engineered to take longer for the liver to break down, thereby staying effective longer. For example, a man's body normally produces testosterone. If a bodybuilder wanted to take more he'd have to be injecting himself every hour or so. Not practical. Therefore they take a long ester version like test. ethanate, propinate, decinate, and so on. And even then the injection should be into adioptase tissue so it is slowly released over time, and it's still repeated every few days. These are the kinds of things that are required to make hormones effective when administered to the body: high dose medication that is specially designed for long, slow, release.

>> No.5267639

>>5267630

...contiunued.

So worrying about hormones in food is silly--both meat as well as the "soy estrogen" bandwagon. Neither is a concern unless you are consuming that food very frequently throughout the day, for weeks and weeks on end. And I would argue that there is NO single food that you should be eating that frequently. Even "healthy" foods like kale can be dangerous if eaten to excess.
